ADHD Coaching in Virginia
Your brain isn't broken. It just needs a better system.
ADHD coaching is practical, one-on-one support for the everyday challenges that come with ADHD. Working with Erin Cliffe, LCSW, ADHD Coach, you'll figure out what's getting in your way and build realistic strategies that fit how your brain actually works. It's collaborative, never one-size-fits-all.
Our Approach to Addiction Treatment
Addiction is a treatable health condition, not a character flaw. We focus on understanding why substances or behaviors became a way to cope, and on building a life where you need them less.
Your goals guide treatment. For some people that means abstinence; for others it starts with cutting back or reducing harm. We also treat the anxiety, depression or trauma that often goes along with substance use, because recovery lasts longer when both are addressed together.

How ADHD Coaching Works
You'll start with an initial assessment, where Erin learns what's hardest for you right now and what you want to change. Together you'll pick a few concrete goals to start with.
From there, sessions are structured, goal-directed and practical. You'll try strategies between sessions, track what happens, and bring back what worked and what didn't, so your systems keep improving. Sessions are typically 60 minutes and typically meet weekly to every other week.
Meet Your ADHD Coach
Erin Cliffe, LCSW, CCTP-II, CAADC, Certified ADHD Coach Erin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly two decades of experience, including extensive work with ADHD and neurodivergent clients. Her coaching focuses on the daily mechanics: getting started on tasks, keeping track of time, finishing what you begin, and building systems that hold up on the days when nothing else does.
Who ADHD Coaching Is For
Coaching is a good fit if you have ADHD, or think you might, and want practical help with daily life more than emotional processing. Many clients come to coaching after years of being told they should be able to manage it all already.
You don't need a formal diagnosis to start coaching. If you're looking for an ADHD evaluation or medication, we can help you find the right referral.
ADHD Coaching vs. Therapy
Therapy focuses on mental health, emotional concerns and treatment of mental health conditions. Coaching is practical and action-oriented, centered on your day-to-day life and what you want to do differently. It can complement therapy but is not a replacement for it.
If anxiety, depression, trauma or other concerns are part of the picture, our therapists can work alongside coaching.
What to Expect When You Start
Your first session is an assessment. Your therapist will ask about your substance use, health, mental health and goals, then recommend a treatment plan and level of care.
Sessions are usually [50–60] minutes, weekly at first. Everything you share is confidential, with the limited legal exceptions your therapist will explain at the start.
What about insurance?
ADHD coaching is a non-clinical service focused on practical support, skill-building, problem-solving, and accountability rather than medical or mental health treatment. Because of this, it is private-pay and not billed through insurance.
